About Clare Woods Group Home

The Clare Woods Group Home is a Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) in Warrenville, Illinois, where eight adult men receive individualized support in a welcoming, community-based home. Residents are encouraged to make choices, build daily living skills, develop meaningful relationships, and participate in the life of their community. Support is tailored to each person’s strengths, needs, and goals while promoting dignity, independence, safety, and personal growth. More than a place to live, the Group Home is a place to belong.

Our Mission

To empower people of all abilities through support, education, and advocacy—helping each person grow with confidence, belong in community, and achieve lifelong resilience.

Our Group Home advances this mission by providing a safe, supportive home where residents can develop greater independence, form meaningful relationships, participate in their community, and experience a genuine sense of belonging.

Residential Placement and Referrals

Placement in the Clare Woods Group Home is coordinated through the State of Illinois developmental-disability service system. When an opening is available, an individual’s case manager or Independent Service Coordination agency may submit a referral packet to Clare Woods for review. Our team then considers the individual’s needs, preferences, funding eligibility, and compatibility with the home and its current residents to determine whether the placement may be an appropriate fit.

Because the Group Home has only eight beds, openings are limited, and the submission of a referral does not guarantee placement. Individuals and families interested in residential services should begin by working directly with their case manager or service coordinator.

Help Make a House a Home

Donations help make the Clare Woods Group Home a welcoming, enriching place where residents can continue to grow and thrive. Support may help provide home improvements, furnishings, household essentials, recreational activities, community outings, adaptive resources, and other opportunities that enhance residents’ comfort, independence, and quality of life. Every gift is an investment in creating a true sense of home and belonging.
